DETAILS
The PMMAL will use existing professional mixed martial arts rules as outlined by State Athletic Commissions, with certain modifications as noted.
Six pro bouts per show
Each bout will be four rounds
Each round will be three minutes long
Four weight divisions will be highlighted. 135lbs….145lbs….155lbs….185lbs
One bout will be at 145lbs, two bouts at 155lbs, two bouts at 185lbs, and one bout at 135lbs
Team will consist of six active fighters, and four reserve fighters
Each team roster must have all active fighters living in the team city or within the 50 mile radius

A winning team bonus of $3,000 will be split with the six fighters on each team that won.

Each fighter on each team will be paid a guaranteed purse of $2,500 per bout.

The Professional Martial Arts League will institute a new and exciting Fighters Compensation Formula, to ensure that each and every fighter, in each and every fight, has a reason to give maximum effort.

Now, winning will mean more than an improvement of a fighter’s record, it will mean a bigger financial reward.

Team trainers/coaches/cut men must work the corner of each bout.

Fighters will be signed to a PMMAL Promotional Fighter Contract

Teams can release a fighter at anytime and place them on the PMMAL Waiver List

Other PMMAL teams can select a fighter off of the PMMAL Waiver List but only within their own division and must adhere to the 50 mile radius rule.

Team with most points at end of six bouts is declared the winner

The PMMAL has created a unique scoring system that makes each match and how it is won critical to each team’s success, and ensures that each match means something, even the last match of the night!

No more than two trainers/coaches/cut men can be hired by a team.

All PMMAL fighters under a PMMAL Fighter/Fighters Promotional Contract are forbidden from fighting on another fight card in the year signed, unless they are placed on the PMMAL Waiver List and clear wavers and given their outright release.

All 2024 PMMAL fighters under a PMMAL Promotional Fighter Contract are forbidden from fighting on another fight card in the year signed, unless they are placed on PMMAL Waiver List and they clear waivers

All PMMAL fighters under a PMMAL Promotional Fighters Contract can be sold to another MMA organization based on compensation agreement being reached between PMMAL League office and other MMA organization

All MMA pro fighter with six fights or less (to be determined) are eligible to be drafted, but must submit a PMMAL Fighter Information Questionnaire.

Only one brand of MMA gloves to be used, as approved by the PMMAL and will be multi colored.

The PMMAL will hold a yearly Draft and pattern it after the NFL Draft, with the PMMAL Draft broadcast life online.
